Everyone makes such a huge deal of graduations. What they don't tell you however is that, well they are dead boring.
Firstly you have to pick up your cap and gown from the Dress Hirage. Only nobody tells you that you're gonna need a physics degree just to figure out the bloody instructions on how to wear the cape properly. And they certainly don't mention that the hat will fit when you try it on at the place, but will miraculously become 2 sizes too big when you put it on at the capping.
You won't understand if you are from anywhere, but New Zealand. But my graduation ceremony was held at the university marae, which is all fine and good. Except the fact that having to accomodate Maori protocol into everything makes it all take ten times as long. To be honest with you, without the crappy speeches and the 'protocol', I think the ceremony would take no more than half an hour. And for me personally, that would be great (understanding of coarse there are plenty who would disagree). I'd be happy for them to just send the bloody thing out, it would be easier and I wouldn't have to waste 50 bucks hiring a chinese puzzle. In light of this, I think I should be the one to invent drive through graduation ceremonies. Yes, ok so we've established that I am in fact a cynic.
Tomorrow, it's back to work...can't say I relish the thought. I hate my job and really really wish I could quit. Boss is a bitch, half the workers are up themselves and the work really does suck. I want out soooo badly.

Where Do I Begin?
So last night was Melanie's 'House Warming/Warning' party. Let me tell you, that was an interesting night.
Erica and I actually ended up having quite a good time, as well as a reason to quit drinking. Highlights included me nicknaming Melanie's sister Red (cos she had a little red riding hood cape), stuffing things (pretzals etc...) down Melanie's top and making people select and eat them out of her top and Erica and I squeezing boys buns. Needless to say the tone was pretty low.
Will we ever learn people...lol.
I'm pledging now to you all in LJland that I am going to Mel's farewell party completely sober, AND staying that way.

My Dysfunctional Day Off
So on my day off today, I went to see Erica and we made an attempt at 'Midget Monday Sunday Friday'. Which, to be perfectly honest, didn't quite come off. For one my disks decided not to show all the videos that were on there. Secondly we kept getting distracted by Erica's insanely cute niece Sophie, who is a gorgeous little Narcissist But we managed to watch the Crossing Jordan ep...and not the Bones ep, which is sad. Still fun though. Oh and Sophie fell in love with my phone...clearly she yearns to be able to phone/txt people.
I was having a power nap this afternoon and I got woken up by Fi ringing. And the first thing I did when I woke up before answering the phone was to try and turn the alarm clock off.
Oh and I've also watched A LOT of TV. Two eps of One Tree Hill this morning, One ep of House, One ep of Men in Trees and an eppy of Crossing Jordan at Ericas. I like days off.

A Quick Recap
Hey ya folks. Well my apologies for no posts lately, but my life is so boring there hasn't been anyreason for any. So a quick recap...
As you may have seen from Fi's LJ, we got together(in a non dirty sense) not so long ago. All I really need to say is that it was crazy fun. And if I'd posted earlier I'd have a better idea of what to write about it. I think it goes without saying that we watched A LOT of TV.
I don't have a lot to say about work, apart from it sucks. I hate just about everything about it. The people(mostly), my boss, the menial tasks, customers....ugh. So I'll leave it at that.
You have no idea how glad I am to have tomorrow off work. I could really use a day of doing absolutely nothing....well maybe not nothing, I think Erica and I may have Midget Monday tomorrow...and yes I am aware that its not Monday.

Too Much TV
ok so I admit that I've totally given up on trying to post every day. I simply cannot be bothered.
So today I watched far too much tv, and went to the gym. And that was about it. Gotta love days off.
Watched the pilot of Jericho today, and its actually very good. And Stingers...thanks to fi I started watching Stingers again. I miss Chris so much :-(.

Massively Marvelous Munted Muppet Mondays
So after deliberating with Erica, we still don't have a name for our (newly formed) weekly meetings. So if anyone has any ideas...they will at least be concidered.
I found out a few things today....For one Erica's family is harbouring a Subway obsession...and secondly, Erica is just as crazy as I am with what she enjoys watching.
As it is a new ritual, we talked up to Subway, Ericas dad was going up too so we had to walk real fast so she didn't have to walk with him. When we couldn't see him we spent the time coming up with reasons why he was taking so long. We were convinced he was being lazy and trying to get the car out (past mine). We were wrong.
When we got home, we couldn't decide what to watch. This coincided with me discovering Ericas dirty little secret...lol. After all the mocking about what I like to watch! We decided to watch Happy Feet, but the disk went bung on us. Pitty too...cos I wanted to adopt the baby penguin. Then we started watching Imagine, You and Me. Which was good, but would have been better with a little hanky panky....Oh and I now can't get the song Imagine You and Me out of my head.
And so I end another brief rundown of another Manic Monday with Erica.

Job Bitch Session
Predictably I got stuck at work well after closing time because for once little miss perfect made a mistake. I of coarse am referring to the person I am replacing at work and who happens to be the managers favourite...so essentially I'm screwed. She has about as much personality as a slab of concrete.
Me: "See you later and good luck with your new job"
Her: "Ok"
She annoys the crap outta me but I still bust my arse to be nice. Am kinda glad shes leaving.

Erica's probably gonna piss herself laughing when she reads this.
So I'm at work and its nearly the end of the day, theres noone in the shop basically. Anyway a guy appears from nowhere with a mens running magazine (I would wonder who reads mens running mags...now I know) comes up the counter. I don't notice at first that hes looking at me funny, that is until I look up from scanning the magazine. Then he asks me,
"do you run?"
I'm pretty sure I screwed up my face at this point. My reply in a sarcastic voice voice was
"ah...sure at the gym"
I really felt like saying..."do I look like I run, to you?"
Why oh why did I decide to work in retail. Everyones a freak!
So I'm at work and its nearly the end of the day, theres noone in the shop basically. Dinner at the Bank
So I got roped into going to a chick from works farewell. It was at this bar called the Bank (cos it used to be a bank...who knew). The result of this evening was the chick I was sitting next too saying I was hilarious about 5 times and that I was "soooooooooo gay", which was charming, and the icing on the cake....me forgetting to pay for dinner. I had pasta for dinner and, coffee and cake for desert.
But 5 minutes after walking out of the door I realised I hadn't paid, so I had to go all the way back in...lol.

Subway and TV
I had a totally hilarious day with my best mate Erica.
Apparently according to Erica, at the time I looked somewhat like Alice from the L Word.
We went walking down to Subway to get lunch. Apparently the guy checked me out...which was nice. Talk about getting more at Subway lol.
We watched Crossing Jordan, and thanks to me Erica couldn't stop singing Maneater. I will remember not to show her any of my videos in future. We also watched Borat, which started off funny and rapidly got offensive and scary. OMG....nobody really needs to see a fat guys balls!!!!!!
Erica and I are hoping to make this a regular occurance, so watch this space.

Cookin' Chilli in my Crockpot
Had a fun day off, hanging with Erica and watching TV. Gotta love sitting around calling peoples 'a Putz' and laughing cos one of the characters cooks too much.
Just watched the first 2 eps of Heroes...its highly weird, but I really enjoyed it. It has moments of making absolutely no sense...and therefore reminded me of Lost.
Might add more later...but I'm tired and headachy right now.
